I have always loved Social Studies and History, mainly because of my granddad's influence. It's not always easy to teach about famous Americans to young children, but I have realized that the more books they hear and read, they understand.
These books are used when teaching about Benjamin Franklin in my famous American unit. I have had trouble finding information on Mr. Franklin, so I wrote a reader about his life, focusing on his inventions.
This reader is available on my TpT store as a freebie. I hope that this will be helpful to your social studies lessons!
