Pinterest Party is My Monday Made It!

Happy Monday!

I am linking up with Tara at 4th Grade Frolics for my

Several of my teacher friends and I have Pinterest parties several times a year.  One of the teachers has a pool, so we "saved" her party until the summer so we can enjoy the water along with our crafts!

Debbie, our host, went to Lowe's and purchased an 8' x 4' board and had it cut down to clipboard size.  She had scrapbooking paper and a lot of Mod Podge for us to make clipboards!

Here are my pages for my first clipboard.  Use Mod Podge to cover one side of the clipboard and cover it with one piece of scrapbooking paper.  Fold the edges of the paper over to seal the edges of the board.  Then Mod Podge the front of the board and place the second piece of paper.  For this board, I had the yellow on the back with the plaid on front, accented by the owls.
I used a scrap from the yellow paper to trim and cover one side of a binder clip.  The clip was then hot glued to the top center to make the clip part of the clipboard!
 My first clipboard.
The second clipboard has bright blue paper on the back with this adorable owl paper on the front!  Debbie found all different kinds of clips to use and I loved how this yellow one matched a few of the owls.

Have a great week!

Five for Friday {July 18}

It's time for
I'm linking up with Kacey at Doodle Bugs Teaching for my Five for Friday

Our 11th anniversary was Saturday!  We celebrated by driving home from visiting Josh's family for 10 days!  With Josh's work schedule, it's been nice to see him a lot more this summer.

I watched our littlest niece and nephews one night this week so my sister and BIL could check out some houses with their realtor.  Micah, the youngest, is having trouble sleeping, so I had wonderful snuggles with him!

Virginia bloggers met up in Richmond on Wednesday!  Here I am with Andrea, from Reading Toward the Stars!

I shopped with my sister-in-law last week at Hobby Lobby.  Since we don't have a HL here, I tried to think through many gifts, holidays, birthdays, crafting projects, etc so I could get what I thought I may need!  One of my favorite purchases is the wrapping paper and bows pictured here!  So festive!

When wandering around Barnes & Noble yesterday, this notebook "jumped" out at me!  Like many other teachers, I have owls all around my room and friends from school have texted me with owl things they see in various stores!

Hope you have a great weekend!

What I've been up to ... and a new product!

I have had a crazy busy summer, even without teaching summer school!  Here's a little of what I've been up to!

We have completed our training and various requirements to be foster parents and are anxiously waiting for that first phone call!

My sister and I took her kids to a nearby farm.  We stopped at a small family owned diner for lunch afterwards!
My husband I went to Charlotte for a couple of days.
We visited the Billy Graham Library.
And went to Sea Life Aquarium!
They have a tunnel to walk through - we were able to see so many other creatures in there!
We just got home from an eleven day visit to Josh's family in Indianapolis.  We were there for the fourth and enjoyed our time with family!
