letter cards and sight words

I've worked on 2 very simple activities - letter cards (lower and upper case) in 3 styles, as well as a round-robin game for the preprimer sight word list using a butterfly theme.

I purposefully did 3 different sets of the letter cards so they could be used in a small group or to leave in a literacy work station.  They are color-coded, making it easy to sort into baggies.

I've enjoyed creating (and finding!) different sight word activities this summer.  By the second semester of first grade, many of the children are able to do activities on their own (or with limited assistance), especially when you play the game with them during the first semester.  All of the sight word games I've created can be played in small groups.

The first 5 to comment on this post will get both of these activities free!  Please be sure to leave your email address so I can get it to you.  These activities have been added to my TpT store.

Blessings,

  1. I can always use more small group games and sight word games are great to have on hand for all those times you need something extra to do :)
